Comic star Rik Mayall recorded the voiceover for a short animation about death just months before he passed away.
The black comedy ‘Don’t Fear Death’ is said to be one of Mayall’s last television appearances.
The three-minute sketch celebrates the lighter side of dying and opens with Mayall, 56, saying ‘death is so in right now’.
It was screened on Channel 4 in August as part of its Random Acts series and includes the line death ‘is your passport to complete and utter freedom’.
Meanwhile, a video believed to be the last footage of the comedy great has emerged.
Mayall is seen messing about on the set of his last film – The Escape – days before his death.
He had returned from Portugal where he was filming at the beginning of the month.
The Young Ones and Bottom star larks about and indulges in slapstick.
